About Perfect Slice

A small, free browser game about judging area by eye — no account, no download, no ads blocking the shape.

What it is

Perfect Slice is a single-screen precision game. You’re given an irregular shape and a target percentage, and you have one straight cut to split off a piece as close to that percentage as you can. Five rounds make a run; your cumulative score across all five is your result for that run. See How to Play for the full rules and scoring breakdown.

Why it exists

Most casual browser puzzle games either time you or test reflexes. Perfect Slice tests something quieter: spatial estimation. There’s no clock pressure — the entire challenge is in how accurately you can read area and proportion from an irregular outline, using nothing but a single mouse drag or finger swipe.

How the shapes are made

Every shape is generated procedurally: a random irregular control outline is built with a handful of deliberately concave “dents”, then smoothed into the rounded, organic silhouette you actually see, using Catmull-Rom curve interpolation. No two shapes are quite the same, and every run uses a fresh random seed. Areas and your cut’s resulting split are computed exactly with polygon geometry (the shoelace formula for area, and exact line/polygon intersection for the cut itself) — the percentage you’re scored against is never an approximation.

Who made it

Perfect Slice is an independently built, self-funded hobby project — not a studio release. It’s free to play with no account requirement, and is supported only by the small ad slots alongside the shape.
